SERVPRO of San Leandro recently attended the United 4 Safety event held by the San Leandro Police Department. This annual summer fair offers food, fun and more for families. The fair offers the community an opportunity to support their local fire and police departments. SERVPRO takes part in this event every year and we work closely with the police department to help with cleanup and recovery when a disaster strikes. Our team is a big supporter of our local communities.

Cleanup Day at the USS HORNET

The USS Hornet Museum is a WW2 aircraft carrier and is a popular attraction for school students, history buffs and tourists alike. The huge ship is located in Alameda at the former Naval Air Station. SERVPRO of San Leandro participated as a volunteer to help cleanup the ship that is also famous for retrieving NASA astronauts from their splashdown in the Pacific after their 1969 journey to the moon. We provided a cleaning team comprised of ownership, managers and technicians from SERVPRO of Alameda and our two other franchises from Stockton and Belmont/San Carlos who performed pressure washing of the hangar bay deck and dusting of portions of the ship including interior space that are on display to tours. Abatix of San Leandro assisted by loaning equipment for the project, and California Labor Force supplied several addition laborers to help in the cleaning. It was an honor to participate in this event and to support our local community.
